Institute for Urban Life

    The institute was established in 1994. It promotes the mission of the university through its support of various academically based projects. Among the current programs receiving assistance fro the institute are the Harry G. John Scholarships, the Marquette University press; Urban Life Book series, the master of arts in public service’s nonprofit specialization, and urban-focused curriculum enhancement grants. the director of the institute holds the Harry G. John Professorship in Urban Studies.
