Commissioner of City Development Rocky Marcoux goes “On the Issues” to discuss Milwaukee’s economic future

September 19, 2013

Event Information:
Date: Tuesday, Sept. 24
Time: 12:15 p.m.
Place: Marquette Law School, Eckstein Hall

Milwaukee Commissioner of City Development Rocky Marcoux will be the next guest for “On the Issues with Mike Gousha,” Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan St.

Marcoux has been the point person for economic development efforts in the city since 2004. Today, Marcoux and his staff face a number of critical questions: Can successes like the redevelopment of the Menomonee Valley be replicated in other parts of the city? What can be done to help neighborhoods devastated by the foreclosure crisis? How do we create more new businesses and grow existing ones? And what should be done with some of Milwaukee’s most valuable real estate?

A Marquette graduate and member of the Congress for the New Urbanism, Marcoux will offer his vision for Milwaukee.

Gousha, distinguished fellow in law and public policy and an award-winning journalist, continues his “On the Issues” series of provocative and insightful interviews with local and national public officials, journalists and other newsmakers throughout the year. The fall 2013 schedule is also available.

Seating is limited; registration is available online. For those who can’t attend in person, all “On the Issues” events are streamed live at the following website, which also contains a catalog of past guests.
