Event to feature keynote speaker, industry experts and an economic forecast
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University’s Center for Real Estate on Thursday, Sept. 12, will host its second annual Real Estate Strategies Conference. Titled, “Real Estate Opportunities – A New Frontier,” the half-day event will begin at 1 p.m. in the third-floor ballroom of the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee.
Jack Durburg, global president of transaction services for CBRE, will deliver a keynote address that focuses on the changing trends he sees across the office, industrial, retail and investment sales transaction markets.
Two panel discussions will follow the keynote. The first, “Strategic Direction – Real Estate Capital Placements,” will feature panelists from small to large investment firms discussing their own strategies. The second, “The Mayfair Collection: A Case Study,” will focus on the redevelopment of a formerly light-industrial and manufacturing site in Wauwatosa, Wis. into a new 69-acre mixed-use development.

The conference will conclude with a student speaker, followed by an economic forecast presentation by Dr. Mark Eppli, interim Keyes Dean of Business Administration and Bell Chair in Real Estate at Marquette, as well as a networking reception.
