Second annual event will feature Harvard expert on health care negotiation

MILWAUKEE – Marquette University’s graduate program in dispute resolution will present on Friday, Oct. 18, its second annual Dispute Resolution and Health Care Conference. “Dispute Resolution and Health Care: The Next Steps,” will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.
The event will bring together health care providers, lawyers, insurers, hospital administrators, legislators and academics to focus on how to apply dispute resolution processes to emerging health care disputes, according to Eva M. Soeka, associate professor and director of the graduate program in dispute resolution.
Dr. Leonard Marcus, director of the Program for Healthcare Negotiation and Conflict Resolution at the Harvard School of Public Health, will deliver the keynote address. The author of Renegotiating Healthcare, Marcus consults internationally on the changes in health care systems.
The conference will also feature a nationally recognized group of speakers who will address the application of dispute resolution processes and principles to the rapidly changing landscape of health care. More information, a registration link and a full conference agenda are available online.
