Industry professionals Krill, Hunt to push for endowment

MILWAUKEE — The Marquette University Center for Real Estate has named two new leaders to drive the nationally ranked program in the College of Business Administration, Dr. Mark Eppli, professor of finance and Bell Chair in Real Estate announced. David G. Krill, CMB, who will serve as senior director, and Andy Hunt who will serve as director, will report to Eppli.

According to Eppli, the two will be responsible for building upon the center’s success in teaching, research and outreach, and they will help lead fundraising efforts toward an endowment for the center.

Krill and Hunt are both returning to Marquette to take on the new roles. Krill, who is a founding member of the Center for Real Estate and former president of the Marquette University National Alumni Association board, was an adjunct instructor of real estate from 2002–17, until his retirement in May. Hunt previously served as associate director for the center from 2010–14.

“The Center for Real Estate is so fortunate to have Dave and Andy at the helm,” Eppli said. “The center is poised like no other time in its history to go to the next level, and with Dave’s and Andy’s passion for the program, I’m confident in our ongoing success.”

Prior to serving on the faculty at Marquette, Krill was president, CEO and director of Associated Commercial Mortgage, a wholly owned subsidiary of Associated Bancorp. He was also chairman and founder of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Education Foundation and past president of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association.

Following his time at Marquette, Hunt worked as an investment services associate for Prologis and then as a senior analyst at Real Capital Solutions, both in the Denver area. He was honored in January 2014 with the NAIOP Wisconsin Chapter Associate “Rising Star” Award and as a student, he was given the “Senior of the Year” Outstanding Student Leadership award, the university’s highest undergraduate honor.

Krill graduated from Marquette’s College of Business Administration with a bachelor’s degree in finance, and he has an MBA in real estate from the University of Wisconsin. Hunt is also a Marquette alumnus — he has a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate and an MBA.
