MILWAUKEE – Activating employee engagement through corporate communication strategies will be the focus of a daylong conference at Marquette University on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.
The fourth annual Corporate Communication Summit will be keynoted by Maggie FitzPatrick, chief communication officer for Johnson & Johnson. Open to the public, tickets are required and include breakfast, lunch and parking. Proceeds from the event benefit a scholarship fund for students of Marquette University Diederich College of Communication.
FitzPatrick will share her journey to deepen trust and engagement among all of Johnson & Johnson stakeholders and highlight approaches the company has taken to renew employee commitment to its credo, enable employee ambassadors and deepen authentic employee engagement.
Other speakers at the event include industry and academic professionals from Hewlett-Packard, Gagen MacDonald, APCO Worldwide, Relativity Sports, Ketchum Change, Edelman, Ogilvy Public Relations, University of Oklahoma and University of South Carolina. The speakers will share communication tools and best practices that encourage a growth-mindset environment, utilize transparent newsroom-style communication models and leverage management strategies that embrace the human element of change within organizations.
The event is sponsored by Diederich College of Communication, Northwestern Mutual, and Johnson & Johnson. It is part of the college’s Insight Summit Series, which includes the Digital Advertising + Marketing Summit and the PR + Social Media Summit.
