The Marquette University College of Business Administration and the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship will host John Stollenwerk, former CEO, president and owner of Allen Edmonds Shoe Corporation, for the next installment of the “After Hours Speaker Series,” Monday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, Ballroom E, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.
The event is free and open to the public, and appetizers and beverages will be served. Participants are encouraged to register online at http://business.marquette.edu/centers-and-programs/after-hours-signup.
Stollenwerk will discuss his work at Wisconsin-based Allen Edmonds, an international manufacturer and retailer of high-quality footwear, as well as his commitment to keeping manufacturing in the United States. Stollenwerk purchased the upscale shoe brand in 1980, and during his time as president and CEO, proved that quality people and a quality product are integral elements in any successful business venture.
Stollenwerk has received numerous awards and honors during his career, and is a Marquette University trustee emeritus.
